When it comes to careers like jewellery designing or interior decorating, there is always that general assumption that they are better off as hobbies but turning them into a legitimate career is not easy. Although that is true, it is quite difficult to make a name for oneself in such fields, since first, they are still relatively new field for professionals, and second they are not taken that seriously by the bigger establishments. However, that does not mean, that times are slowly turning and people are able to have a career in this profession too.

There institutes and workshops offering interior decoration courses, fashion footwear, photography of different types and more. Even companies are wanting such professionals working for them and if nothing else, then the social media and internet has really helped people run their own business. However if one comes to jewellery designing that is still a little tricky area to get into.

Delhi is not lacking in terms of jewellery, with it boasting of generations old goldsmiths and jewelers there in the city. But starting a career in this area, at first might seem difficult, yet it is not impossible.

For starters, whether one is thinking of taking it up as hobby or a career, there are various levels of jewellery designing courses in Delhi. What this course will do is, help one with understanding the different techniques of jewellery making, broadening one's horizons in terms of creativity and imagination and also how to handle the different tools used to create it.

If one wants to truly enter this business then start creating. Start to sketch the ideas one has, no matter how absurd they might seem, and then start making them. Go out and see the different materials and items available, make jewellery out of them and see which ones you are comfortable with. Actually start to create something and then only can you begin your journey into this industry.

Become a Teacher for Unique Courses

A career in teaching can be a very rewarding career indeed. Being able to inspire and create better people who can succeed in this world is not something to be ignored. A teacher has the power to mould and sculpt young minds into becoming talented people who can contribute to the world and make it a better place to live. A teacher can be the one to bring a shy student or rebellious student out of their cave and push them to realise their potential. However for a long time, teaching was only seen as an acceptable career if one was teaching the compulsory courses like English, history, science or others.

In the past few years, education has come forward in many ways and this is evident with the vast number of courses that are available for students these days. There are degrees and all for interior decoration courses, fashion designing, and more such unique fields of study.

Everyday, people are finding out about all these different areas and courses that are out of the usual norm of education. They might be unusual and strange but are still great way to learn a new skill. These are dynamic courses that focus more on the practical knowledge rather than just classroom teachings.

With areas like creative writing, poetry, or jewellery designing courses in Delhi, gaining popularity these courses are in immense need for good and professional teachers. There is a great demand for teachers willing and able to teach these vocational courses and those who know what they are doing. Teachers who teach such courses have a more wider range of work too and are not tied down to one place, instead they can apply their talents of teaching to several other places apart from a typical school.

Growing Popularity of Fashion Design Courses

You'll always find people who believe that a degree in medicine or engineering can only help you earn good money. They believe that other courses, especially in arts, are of no use, as they do not open many growth and career opportunities. However, this is not true at all, especially in today's time. Students with degrees in fine arts, history, fashion and design are also making good money, at times even more than that of an engineering degree holder. Nowadays, career in fashion and design has emerged as one of the popular professions among youth. More and more students are taking up courses in fashion and design right after completing their 10+2.

In India, you'll find a number of fashion design colleges offering degree and diploma programs at graduate and post graduate level. These programs are specifically designed, keeping in mind the requirements of the ever changing fashion industry. They have a comprehensive curriculum which prepare students for the exciting and challenging fashion world. During the course, students not only learn the basics, but also get a chance to sharpen their technological skills. They learn about the fashion software tools, programs and 3-D models which have become quite popular these days.Practical knowledge and experience on these computer graphic programs, significantly increase chances of getting a good job.

One such institute from where you can do you degree in fashion is the footwear design & development institute in Delhi. It is known for its excellent infrastructure, faculty and placement record. Every year, thousands of students come here to take admission in various degree and diploma courses offered by the institute. Once completing the course from here, students can work in a leading design firm, with well-known designers of the fashion industry. They can also open their own boutique if they feel like.

International Institute of Fashion Design & Career in Fashion

I guess a creative person has all the signs of being creative right from his childhood. It is like they tell you with their little activities what they are going to be while they grow up. I have seen this evidently in case of my sister who is now an established fashion designer. Back then, when we used to be young there was not much of a hype about the careers in fashion. In fact, the idea was rather new. My sister was always creative in her approach and interested in fashion in her own way! If your child too shows these signs, then you might as well be a parent to a renowned fashion designer one day!

My sister would make use of old clothes in making something else. She learnt the basics of knitting at her craft lessons and she was fond of stitching used clothes into making a new scarf or skirt! We used to be started at the sense of design in a girl of 10 but, we could never figure out that is something she would be exceptionally good at and build a career out of it!

During our growing years, she was the one who used to decide who is going to wear what to a party- or to any outing for that matter! And she was impeccable every time! If you see your teenage dictating what to wear to you, then watch out for that future Ralph Lauren!

She was eagle eyed when it came to spotting a wardrobe malfunction. For example a missing button or a mismatched shoe! She used to frown upon such things and make sure everything was perfect. We thought it was her OCD, but the truth was clear when she topped her batch in International Institute of Fashion Design and set out to be a successful designer!

Extra-Ordinary Fashion Designing Course & Top Fashion Schools

Despite the advancement the fashion industry has observed in the last decade, many people in India still seem to consider fashion designing as the most obvious and perhaps the only career option in the industry. Glamour, clothes, models, page 3 parties etc. are things that immediately cross people’s minds when one talks of the fashion industry. While those are integral elements, there is much more to do and learn in the sector. Apart from the most obvious fashion designing course, fashion institutes offer courses in leather design, textile design, fashion communication, accessory design, jewellery design and manufacturing, footwear design to name a few. And while the courses may seem like a piece of cake, they are highly demanding which require students to be absolutely committed, passionate, and disciplined.

From an apparel and/or accessory designer, fashion editor, fashion consultant to a celebrity stylist, merchandiser, retail expert- there are so many options you could choose from if only you have a strong inclination towards the role as well as creative ideas and ability to put them on paper or computer. In fact, with so many fashion applications in the virtual market today, the fashion industry is expanding even further to encompass a variety of roles that could not be even imagined of earlier.

However, it is imperative that you complete your fashion education from one of the top fashion schools in the desired field first. Rigorous training would help you identify your strengths and work on your weaknesses. It will also help bring out your creative side and give you a push in the right direction. The detailed courses would ensure that your basics are in place and help you build upon those basics. Fashion education from a top school is challenging and you will have to prove your mettle to not only get good opportunities in the future, but to even survive in the fashion school. The road to success in fashion would be eventful and difficult, but in the end you would realise that it was worth it!

Footwear Design & Development Institute and Benefits of Fashion Design Colleges

Winter is the time to really showcase your fashion statement and buying fancy footwear is your best way to shine, pun intended. In summers you usually don’t care about footwear because nothing is more comfortable than Hawaiian chappals or sandals during those days. Just the thought of putting on socks and shoes disgusts you to the core. It is different in winters though, as you can wear classy shoes and flaunt your style.

Many graduates from footwear design & development institute have come up with shoes trends to match your class this winter.

Leather low-top sneakers

Nothing works against the winter chill better than leather, while also looking elegant. Adidas, Nike and other big brands are all coming up with leather sneakers for this winters. Nike, especially, is already growing big on its Air Max 90s. Even Converse has its Chuck Taylor All-stars series for the chilly weather.

Monk Straps

If you love wearing formals during winters, monk straps are the shoes for you. Typical shoes for purists, their leather skinned Italian design raises your class level tenfolds. Giuseppe Zanotti and Valentino are leaders in making elegant monk straps which you can wear to office, dinner dates and even parties. Vagabond, a Swedish shoemaker, also has its line of monk straps to trigger envy in the people who watch your gait.  Many fashion design colleges are also backing their students to produce monk straps designs for the upcoming winters.

Hiking boots

Because of the fact that hiking boots are more of a utility than a style statement, many designers don’t put much effort into their style. But artists like Diemme want to leave their mark on every products and their homemade Roccia Vet boot is a combination of hiking ruggedness and style. Fracap and Timberland have also come up with elegant hiking boots for the winters.

Huge Benefits of Fashion Designing Institutes & Fashion Design Courses

The term ‘Fashion Week’ immediately brings to mind models sashaying down the ramp in the latest couture collection of the famous designers of the country. Even if you aren’t an aspiring fashion designer, fashion week is not a term very difficult to decipher. Yet, let me still put it simply. A fashion week, as the name hints, is an approximately week-long event which provides a platform for the distinguished as well as budding fashion designers, brands, and fashion houses to exhibit their latest collection to the media and buyers through runway shows.

India is known to host a number of very famous fashion weeks which include Lakme Fashion Week, India Bridal Fashion Week, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week etc. amongst others. Being able to display one’s collection in one such fashion show is every designer’s dream come true. But is it that easy? The leading fashion designers have different styles and fortes, but most have them have one thing in common- education in fashion designing. While it’s all about the inner creativity, aspiring fashion designers need to study fashion deeply and learn a variety of skills indispensable in the fashion industry. Be it Tarun Tahiliani, Suneet Varma, or the designer siblings- Gauri and Nainika- all pursued their education from prestigious fashion schools. Hence, all aspiring fashion designers should first aim to get through a reputed fashion designing institute before anything else.

A lot of research, hard work, and dedication go into making fashion shows successful. Right from the models walking down the ramp on the shows to the all behind-the-scenes crew working on the backdrops and stage settings, everybody works unsparingly for the fashion show to happen smoothly. The designers, of course, start preparing for the shows even months before any official announcement. Working endlessly through sleepless nights, they give it their all. Working in a high-pressure environment, they produce some of their best works. Being a fashion designer isn’t easy, yet the feeling of fulfilment they get upon seeing their work up on stage seems indescribable to many of them. If you wish to be there someday, now is the time to work hard and give it all that you got. But pursuing one of the fashion designing courses should be your first of the many steps.  Best of luck!

Companies are starting to understand that different countries require different approach to public, but there still needs to be consistency in the process of it.

Branding and advertising is already a very lucrative field of work. With the flood of new start up companies and even established companies acquiring new brands and acquisitions, the need to rebrand or come up with new brand images is a very important job. Companies employ either individuals or agencies to manage their brands in a way that will keep them in popular demand with the people.

If one wants to have a career in this field then they can either get a degree in advertising and marketing, or take brand management courses on a certificate level. Advantages of Footwear & Textile design development institutes

Shoes are as important as clothes and jewelry. You might never have noticed but you own a great number and variety of shoes in your wardrobe- from flip flops and sports shoes to bellies and stilettoes.

It is for this reason that footwear designing courses have become as popular as fashion designing and textile design courses. A footwear designing institute designs all the types of shoes for providing utmost style and comfort to the people.

And thanks to institutes like footwear design & development institute, which teach the students to never compromises on style to design a durable and comfortable product. Moreover, they make students proficient in different types and subtypes of shoes.

A sport shoes category, for example contains several subtypes of shoes on the basis of its usage. Here’s a list.

•    Running shoes: The running shoes are for the joggers who run and jog frequently. These shoes are characterized by inbuilt shock absorbers to give the runners a comfortable and flexible base. Their lightweight versions are available for the road walkers who use shoes only for walking purposes.

Most Useful Textile & Fashion Designing Courses

Fashion is a broad concept. It is different for different people and that is why we all have our versions of it!

It is true that there are some "trending" fashion clothes and accessories in the market that are talked about at a particular time, but still, the Fashion Designing Courses are more about developing your own sense of fashion and less about blindly following a pattern!

And textile has a lot of role to play in it! While fashion designing is about designing a clothing, textile design courses teach you to develop the fabric structures in the first place. Our fabric is valuable and let us hold it as much as we can! Let us not dump our clothes when they look unworthy to us. Here are some of the ways of recycling and reusing the clothes.

•    Dye: Do you have a white shirt that you've worn so many times that it doesn't look interesting anymore?  You can get it dyed in colorful shades of blue or purple or whatever you like! And don't worry about going out. Dye it at home!

•    Cut: If you own a denim pants that you no more feel like wearing, cut and make something interesting out of it. You can cut it to make an appealing pair of shorts or you can also make a small denim bag out of it- with a little technical cutting.

•    Rags: Don't you hate it when your mommy randomly picks your childhood t shirts and make cleaning rags out of it? But it's an excellent thing to do because its only when you think about it you realize that you're never going to wear it.

•    Charity: And charity is something we should never give a second thought to- it's the best way t ensure reuse! Donate often.

So recycle and reuse as much as you can because wasting is so old fashion!

Careers Opportunities in Fashion Designing Courses

Fashion has different meaning to different people. To some it is comfort, to some it is style, and to most, it is both! Fashion is, distinct and every individual defined their own sense of fashion, by the way they carry themselves and their choice of outfits. My cousin, who has a keen sense in fashion designing, has just graduated from one of the renowned fashion designing courses in the city.

According to her, it does not always take someone to have a career in fashion to become fashionably sensible and smart. She says, knowing your body type and choice does half the magic. Apart from that she says, a woman must have a few basic outfits in their wardrobe that should go with just about everything and in almost every occasion.  For example, she says a girl must own a little black dress or LBD as we popularly call it. An LBD would never fail you when you are in confusion regarding what should you wear. She states clearly, when in doubt, go for LBD! Be it an evening party or a formal function, a knee-length black dress always works wonders.

Another outfit she says is a must is a pair of denims and a white shirt. A white casual t-shirt goes about just right if coupled with denims. They are the perfect kind of outfit to be worn for casual outings and it is brilliant if you can pull it off at your work place- on a Friday, probably!

A black trouser is something you must make place for in your wardrobe. A black trouser forms the basis of your formal look and it matches with almost all the colors. You are free to choose any color to go with your well fitted black trousers!

Cost-Effective Textile Design Courses & Fashion Designing Courses

A good design is an opinion, and because our youth is strongly opinionated, they're taking up designing courses with much zeal and vigor.

To design means to express yourself. Students express their understanding of fashion through dresses, shoes, make-up and other accessories. A large population of students are also interested in understanding the cloth and fabric they're working on.

People who hold a keen interest in prints of bed sheets, patterns of sweaters and designs of saris go on to take up fabric design and textile design courses. If you also belong to the same category and wish to become a textile designer, here's a step by step guide to how you can accomplish your aim.

•    Choose a specialization: Decide on which industry you want to work in. As a fabric designer or textile designer, you can work in the field of fashion or you can also work as an interior designer. Depending on that, you can take up Fashion Designing Courses or Interior Designing courses.

•    Apply for colleges: Now that you have narrowed your decision down to a particular specialization, apply for the respective college. It's always good to go for a college offering specific courses of your choice. This will keep you focused.

•    Earn the degree: The program covers a range of topics such as designing history, woven designing techniques and designing software. Learn all of this in your college and practise a lot.

•    Stay updated: Although textile design courses offer great learning, it's also important to constantly learn new techniques, outside of the degree and learn more about the profession. Stay updated about the tools and techniques deployed in the textile industry.

•    Gain experience: Do internships, works as entry level designer and do whatever it takes to gain more and more of experience in the field. Designing is a vast concept and you need to keep your mind open to welcome ideas and build experiences.

Textile Designing Courses & Footwear Design and Development Institutes

How beautiful the idea of designing a thing is! Like you can literally mold and shape a thing the way you want. They say designing is like discovering the unknown. You go on to figure out numerous fascinating designs that can be used in clothes, accessories, bags etc. But I think designing is more like inventing- because you can make several designs which have never existed and you can develop some of the most innovative things out of it.

The best part about joining a designing course is that it also offers lucrative career opportunities. Some of the designing courses which have gained popularity are given below.

•    Textile designing: The textile design courses teach the students to create embroidery designs for a range of fabrics- woven, knitted and printed.

•    Jewellery designing: India is the largest market of gems and jewelries, and so, you can imagine the growth possibilities in this sector. So if you’re fond of jewelries and are interested in the techniques of designing a piece of necklace or ring, this is totally your field.

•    Fashion designing: Not saying that the other fields of designing aren’t applauded, but fashion designing gives you both- name and fame. You get to work with top models and media personalities, and you get to design clothes for them- how appealing!

•    Footwear designing: To meet the rising demands of variety of footwear, the footwear industry requires experts and professionals. And if you want to become one of those, the footwear design & development institute is where your feet should lead you to.

•    Interior designing: This one is the perfect combination of art and science. Use your artistic skills to create designs and then use practical and technical approach to get those designs developed on the interiors of the houses and buildings.

So, go as creative as you want, because designing is what you do when you want to express yourself!

Affordable Brand Management Courses & Fashion Designing Courses

A career in fashion is not as easy as the film and television industry might believe you to think. There are several rings one must jump through before they get to a good and successful position.

Yet the fashion industry is so unpredictable and unstable that even if one does reach a high position they can never be sure of their stability and always need to come up with more unique and better ideas. The first thing to before anything else, is if one has a keen interest in joining fashion industry then the first thing one can do is join one of the many fashion designing courses available. But if one is not necessarily interested in fashion designing per say, then there are also plenty of other course as well.

There are plenty of other areas in the fashion industry only that one can try for if they are not into fashion per say, one of them being brand management. Basically what brand management includes is the ability to properly manage a particular brand. The main aim of a good brand manager should be to create a lasting impression in the public's mind about the brand and improve product sales and market value.  There are some brand management courses available in fashion institutes only or there are even private institutes which give short term courses too.

Here are a few tips one should keep in mind to become a good brand manager:

1. Good Analytical Skills:

A good brand manger should have good analytical skills in that they should be able to analyze the market trends and create strategies which will best promote the brand and increase sales.

2. Ability to Predict Future Trends:

Now this is not about being a psychic, but it is mainly about having a good eye and creative imagination in what might come into fashion at a later stage.

3. Interpersonal Skills:

One should be good with people and communication since a brand manger is almost a face of the brand. The brand manger has to be able to put up a good picture of the brand in question so that not only customers but also other clients or investors would be interested in it.

INTERIOR DESIGNING IDEAS

Designing and decoration are inevitable. We have to have modification of some sort in everything- clothes, accessories, bags, and even our houses. We no more like the sight of those plain walls, boring curtains and lifeless furniture. Not that we’re going to fill some magical life into non-living things and communicate with them, but we sure are keen into making them appealing and inviting, that when we lay our heads upon the beds and when we keep our feet upon the floors, they please us!

No wonder fashion designing and jewellery designing courses in delhi are gaining enormous attraction- we can earn money from our designing skills as well as use them in our own area! Let’s look at some of the interior designing ideas for our homes that will make us want to spend our time at our homes only!

•Beach under desk: Want to feel like you’re holidaying at a beach while in fact you’re busy working on your laptop? Go for a sand filled wooden case kept beneath your chair and desk so that you can treat your feet with the relaxing sand. But don’t relax so much that you forget you’re working!

•Under-stairs storage: Ever noticed that small space beneath the staircase that is good for nothing? Well, you can actually make use of these stairs by making a small closet out of it, keeping your clothes or even, shoes and other items that you have no place for. Some of the interior decoration courses teach you to use one space for two purposes, just like this one!

•Swing dining table: Don’t wish to bother people by asking them to pass things to you? Add wheels to your table and rotate whenever you want. But don’t forget to announce your rotation, and rotate to back to its origin. You don’t want to create a long distance between a person and his plate.

And the best part is, that these small exciting alterations won’t even cost you that much.

Footwear Design & Fashion Development Institutes

And before you judge me for making this pompous statement, I request you to just hear me out. I am famous for my footwear not because I have a great taste, or that I have too much money, or that I am a footwear designer. I am famous for having an abundance of stylish and unique footwear because my super cool best friend is a footwear designer.

She is currently studying in the most well-known footwear design and development institute of the nation. And no, she does not gift me so many pairs just because I am her best friend. She is just repaying her debt of gratitude as I was the own who encouraged her to pursue a course centred on footwear design and development. I had always been keen on pursuing MBA from a leading management college. She, on the other hand, was as clueless as one can get. I remember the day when we were just chilling at a nearby café when she pointed out something to me.  I saw her staring at one woman’s cute boots. She started rambling about how those boots were cute but could have looked even better if some other material were used. I ignored her since this was one of her most annoying habits. Pointing at other people’s footwear and talking at length about their material, style, cost etc. came very naturally to her. That day too she was in a mood to keep talking when suddenly an idea struck me. Seeing her passion for footwear, I suggested her to try for a footwear design course in the best fashion design colleges. She actually liked my idea for the first time. That very night she went home and did her research about all courses related to footwear. While courses related to footwear aren’t as well-known as other courses like fashion and interior designing, but they are slowly and steadily gaining popularity.

She started preparing for the entrances from the very next week and see where she is now. She loves her course and can never thank me enough. Now you say; do I not deserve to get free footwear from her? And because she is so good, I really am famous for my footwear.

•    Duck boots: These casual rugged looking duck boots give you a cowboy dude look and they’re just perfect for the rains because of their length. It is for men who prefer to keep it stylish and edgy.

•    Rubber overshoes: These are not actually shoes, they’re more like overshoes providing cover for your office wear during rain. You can easily peel these thin, flexible and cheap rubber overshoes off when you reach your office.

Men Footwear Styles

We’ve all heard of types of women shoes. Flats, wedge heels, stilettos, boots and what not! In this ultra-fashionable world, these footwear come in a variety of styles, designs and materials such as leather, canvas, wood, plastic and jute. But we shouldn’t forget that men are entitled to the versatility of footwear just as much as ladies are! A footwear design & development institute gives study on the designs of footwear for both men and women. Here, let’s have a look at some of the popular types of men footwear, varied according to style and occasion.

•    Oxford: Oxfords are typical leather shoes of men with closed lacing and non-rubber sole. Although black oxfords best go with the formal suits, on for formal events, they can also be used in casual parties when worn in varying colors.
They’re basically like all-rounder shoes.

•    Loafers: The main feature of loafers is the absence of laces and buckles. These are like slip-ons of girls, which serve the casual purposes. They generally have heels, though fairly flat, giving them a dressy look.

•    Cap toes: Cap toes are like decorated oxfords. While oxfords are plain with no extra features on the top portion, cap toes are characterized with an extra layer or band of leather over the toe giving it an edgy and stylish look.

•    Dress boots: These are slim ankle length boots which hold the feet and legs snugly. Yes! Even men can wear boots. They are slightly heeled and look best with the slim fit denims.

•    Monk strap: Monk straps have same relation to loafers that cap toes have with oxfords. Yes! These are decorated loafers. Monk straps do not have laces, just like loafers but may have a metal buckle on sides.

And if the concept of designing these footwear interests you, you should take a “foot” forward and step into a fashion university.
